Problem: After a match, the loot search mini-game (“Searching for valuables”) returned empty almost every time. In my case about 6 of 47 attempts gave anything, and every hit came from rare or special tables (IridiumJunk, pve_resource, ModuleAutogen). Common loot (SilverJunk*) never dropped.

Cause: The server log shows it requests common loot tables by these names:

player 0: got common loot table 'CommonRanks_1_3' for rank 1
player 0: got common loot table 'CommonRanks_4_6' for rank 5

But in data\gamedata\shared\loot_tables.lua those tables are defined with a _v3 suffix (CommonRanks_1_3_v3, CommonRanks_4_6_v3, CommonRanks_7_8_v3, CommonRanks_9_10_v3, CommonRanks_11_12_v3, CommonRanks_13_15_v3). There is no table without the suffix, so the server can’t find them. Rare tables such as RareT1 have no suffix, so they work, which matches the pattern above.

Fix: Append aliases to the end of loot_tables.lua:

lua
LootTable.CommonRanks_1_3 = LootTable.CommonRanks_1_3_v3
LootTable.CommonRanks_4_6 = LootTable.CommonRanks_4_6_v3
LootTable.CommonRanks_7_8 = LootTable.CommonRanks_7_8_v3
LootTable.CommonRanks_9_10 = LootTable.CommonRanks_9_10_v3
LootTable.CommonRanks_11_12 = LootTable.CommonRanks_11_12_v3
LootTable.CommonRanks_13_15 = LootTable.CommonRanks_13_15_v3

Then run launch_mongodb.bat, then prepare_shared.bat, and start the game. After this, loot dropped normally in my matches.

Additional Notes:

(c) Star Conflict Official Discord:

Back up the original file first.

Players who leave a match early get no loot attempts at all, so finish the match when testing.

This is my own finding from logs and testing; I haven’t confirmed it with the developers.
